a train in europe

it feels very nice to be sitting in a train not caring about the destination . Just me and a backpack cruising through the fields of a foreign land. The sun is setting, of course.
Often i'm uncomfortable with thoughts of careers and fiscal aspirations but from now i shall tell people i am a train rider. How many occupations could boast of passing life by rather than vice versa!
If this train were to rattle onwards through towns and time i would be quite content.
This moment may well be the pinnacle of all my worldly aspirations. Basking in the glorious continuity of train travel. That is no loss. The hands of fate hold me still. All actions are predetermined they say and yet it is hard to imagine it so. Perhaps to imagine fate is to imagine chaos. Is it possible to imagine chaos without linear sanity crumpling? Change seems a fundamental necessity. In fact if change ceased that would be the greatest change of all, do you think?
Whether this train arrives in Hamburg or Paris tonight is of no real concern. The only concern could be that it has a destination and will at some point arrive there in it's comforting linear manner as we all do in the end.
